We recently completed an exterior painting project on this beautiful 2 story  residence nestled within in The Midlands of Sonterra community. This primarily stucco  home has great presence and unique custom architectural features that made for a slightly challenging, but very cool project!

The colors of the original stucco were weathered and even sun-bleached in some areas. The color that the homeowners decided on, Perfect Greige (SW 6073), is really better suited to the elegance of the property, and aids in highlighting the contrast of the stucco accents and fascia that were coated in Pure White (SW 7005) for that clean, brand new look that is both classical and modern. This vivid and joyful appearance is capped off by the impressive double door, main entrance in Caviar (SW 6990).

The paint product that we used for the topcoat will also not be susceptible to the kind of wear that existed previously. We opted for a full-waterproofing masonry coating from Sherwin Williams – Loxon XP. This coating offers maximum resistance to the high heat and humidity that we frequently experience in San Antonio. Additionally, it offers superior protection against alkali, efflorescence and mildew. In our experience, we have seen this product withstand even the heaviest of our summer storms, and fared far better than other paints did, during the massive hail storm that struck the region in 2016. If you own a stucco home in San Antonio, this is the paint that you need on your home.

The fascia, soffits and doors were painted with Sherwin-Williams Super Paint Exterior Acrylic – yet another heavy duty product whose advanced resin formula delivers outstanding performance and protection – whether we have a cold damp winter or a hot and humid summer.
